Teen gives voice to political activism

Two years ago, when the Frisco teen wanted the city to ban smoking in restaurants, he showed up at a City Council meeting armed with a speech and health statistics.

When the council considered adopting a teen curfew, there he was again - this time joined by schoolmates waving signs against the proposal.

The aspiring politician, who recently turned 18, was walking the streets and knocking on doors earlier this month asking voters to elect another young aspiring politico and former classmate, 21-year-old City Council candidate Ali Samana."
