DeLay to Support FDA Regulation of Tobacco": "A diverse coalition of faith leaders today called on U.S. House of Representatives Majority Leader Tom DeLay (R-Texas) to support legislation that gives the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) the authority over tobacco products and urged him to bring that legislation to a vote in the House as soon as possible. The event, at the Deer Park United Methodist Church, also included youth anti-tobacco advocates and featured a display of 1200 pairs of shoes, representing the number of Americans who die each day from tobacco use and exposure to secondhand smoke."
