DeLay, Perry agree Hutchison doing great as a U.S. senator

HoustonChronicle.com - DeLay, Perry agree Hutchison doing great as a U.S. senator: "House Majority Leader Tom DeLay gave a laudatory review to Kay Bailey Hutchison on Wednesday — of the job she's doing as a U.S. senator.

Hutchison is a potential challenger to Texas Gov. Rick Perry in next year's Republican gubernatorial primary.

DeLay, R-Sugar Land, declined to weigh in on a possible Hutchison-Perry matchup, but indicated he likes what Hutchison is doing now.

'Kay Bailey Hutchison has been an excellent senator. She has gained incredible seniority. She does a great job for the state of Texas,' he said."
