Poll: Most Texans don't have living wills

DallasNews.com | News for Dallas, Texas | Latest News: "A majority of Texans don't have a living will or other document to deal with their last wishes for medical treatment, but the recent case of Terri Schiavo is prompting them to think about such issues, according to the Texas Poll.

Seventy-three percent of those surveyed said the case of Ms. Schiavo – the Florida woman whose tragic situation sparked a national debate on ethics, politics, and the rights and responsibilities of the gravely ill and their families – prompted them to discuss with family and friends what action they would want taken if they were in a similar condition."
