CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) Training

Sorry for the lack of posting today. I just finished the final 12 hours of my CERT training in one fell swoop. We practiced fire suppression, light search and rescue, body lifts. It ended with a simulation of a tornado disaster at our high school. We had 9 living victims with various injuries, and two simulated dead bodies. The living victims were played by students, and they did an excellent job. But now I'm exhausted. Carrying bodies around in 93 degree heat can wear you out.

If you are offered the opportunity to go through CERT training, do it. It's a great way to serve you're community.
