91 percent of seniors pass TAKS test
DallasNews.com | News for Dallas, Texas | Latest News: "Ninety-one percent of high school seniors are set to graduate this month after passing all tests in the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills, state education officials announced Friday.
The class of 2005 was the first required to pass the tougher TAKS exam in order to graduate, and nearly 227,000 did so – including 95 percent of white, 86 percent of Hispanic and 85 percent of black students, according to results released Friday."
