KLTV 7 Tyler-Longview-Jacksonville, TX: Texas AG obtains indictment for open meetings violation: "A former leader of the New Diana school board is accused of conspiring to circumvent the Texas Open Meetings Act.
Details on the Upshur County indictment of John Moore were announced today by Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott.
The panel also indicted former superintendent Dan Noll on charges of abuse of official capacity.
Moore allegedly had private talks with school board members to gauge their support for a possible severance package for Noll -- in exchange for Noll's resignation.
The package was approved at a May 2004 school board meeting."
