B and B: San Antonio Proposition 1: Buying land to protect the Edwards aquifer: "Matt at Just Another Blog has a post up on the top ten reasons to vote for San Antonio's Proposition 1 in the imminent municipal elections. Prop 1 is the initiative to implement (continue, really) a 1/8-cent sales tax and to devote the money to purchase land for protection of the Edwards aquifer. A similar program was passed by San Antonio voters in 2000 and expires this year."
