Ditch the 'Dome?

Et Cetera, And So On: "The Alamodome has always been a source of bitter debate in San Antonio. From the plan's inception - when proponents (led by Henry Cisneros and Nelson Wolff) argued that if we build it, they (the NFL) will come; and opponents argued that the 'dome would prove to be a waste of money - to today, San Antonians argue the Alamodome's merits.

These days, opponents are more vocal in suggesting a seemingly radical idea: tear the thing down. And even some supporters seem resigned to the idea that the NFL will never come to San Antonio and that making the Alamodome self-supporting is a goal that may never be met."
