Republican applying pressure on Strayhorn

Star-Telegram | 05/24/2005 | Republican applying pressure on Strayhorn: "The Texas comptroller's office said Monday that the state could lose 'hundreds and hundreds of millions of dollars' in revenue if efforts succeed to remove a section of the office to another agency.

In another public spat with her fellow Republicans, Comptroller Carole Keeton Strayhorn said she was 'very concerned' about a proposal by Rep. Warren Chisum, R-Pampa, to remove the administrative law unit from her office, said Mark Sanders, a spokesman for Strayhorn."
