Dueling Ideologies in Texas
Political State Report: straight from the trenches: "TX: Dueling ideologies

Though the purpose of this site is to inform, as a student of Texas politics, I don't think I can do that without discussing the difference in ideology and therefore, priorities, in the Texas Legislature.
To put it in some kind of perspective let's look at two bills in the Texas House of Representatives this week that were very different in purpose and met two very different ends. HB 1348 was a campaign finance reform bill that had near universal support and HB 1476 is a bill that bans sexually suggestive cheerleading moves. HB 1348 died in the Elections Committee and HB 1476"
