Thirty-year-old councilman Julian Castro remained the front-runner to become mayor of San Antonio. With 17 percent of precincts counted, Castro had 26,124 votes, or about 40 percent, despite making national headlines when he had his twin brother, a state lawmaker, take his place in a parade float."
