Attorney general seeks new trustees for $80 million
DentonRC.com | News for Denton, Texas | AP: Texas: "Trustees of a fund created by the late wife of a West Texas oilman say they need more time to distribute the trust's assets to charities, but the Texas attorney general wants control of the money given to someone else.
Sybil Harrington's trust has $80 million remaining of its original $100 million. Trustees Laurie McWeeney of Timbercreek Village and New York-based U.S. Trust Co. want until 2009 to dole out the money.
That would be well past the April 2004 deadline set by Harrington, a philanthropist and wife of oilman Don Harrington. She died in 1998."
