The Texas Whip: Rip and Nature's Wrath: "BTW- there was a really good article in the Statesman yesterday, showing an alleged money laundering scheme to get $190K from a corporate donor to seveal TRMPAC endorsed candidates. The check was send to the GOP in Washington, and exactly $190K was doled out to the Texas candidates. Now, you may note that I have been very annoyed by TRMPAC, redistricting, and other shenanigans of the Texas GOP. You may think I am just another disgruntled Democrat. On the contrary, I used to be a card carrying Republican (of the moderate variety). TRMPAC and the redistricting fiasco were the proverbial back breaking straws which caused me to abandon all GOP affiliation. I determined that the Texas GOP had some seriously screwed up priorities and ethical problems."

I've always been a Yellow Dog, but go and read why Rip became a Democrat, after having flirted with the GOP. He makes some very strong points that we all need to be making, both about the state of the GOP today, as well as the state of the Dems.
