Perry shrugs off Strayhorn buzz

MySA.com: Metro | State: "Gov. Rick Perry brushed off talk that Comptroller Carole Keeton Strayhorn is poised to announce she'll challenge him, saying he's concentrating on 'work at hand' that potentially could include a special session on school funding.

'The work of the state of Texas is substantially more of my focus than somebody's announcement,' Perry said Thursday, noting he still is deciding on signing or vetoing legislation approved in the recent regular session."
