DeLay supporters begin training for ballot petition drive
Plainview Daily Herald: "Campaign volunteers for House Majority Leader Tom DeLay were set to begin training Thursday night to gather enough signatures to put DeLay on the March primary ballot.
While some critics called the start _ seven months before the deadline _ a sign of vunerability, supporters say it makes sense.
'Tom DeLay is in trouble. His support at home is at a historic low,' said Bill Burton, a spokesman for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. 'He´s in for the toughest fight of his congressional career.'"
