The Texas Legislature has adopted a resolution that proclaims Navasota as the official Blues Capital of Texas. The document soon will be presented to the governor for approval, officials said.
It’s a big step for the small Grimes County town which boasts a yearly blues festival and is the birthplace of Texas blues legend Mance Lipscomb."
